Roman, Mush , grandad, dad.
He knew many and many knew him.
He died at peace on Friday 16th of March, in the early hours.
He had lived a long life for his 74 years, and had seen more and carried more than any-one. He was a very strong man, yet had weakend in the end through ill health and the worried of life. He had 10 children of his own, and then he took on his in-laws as if they where his own children too.
He had 33 grandchildren, of which I was the first, He was as a father to me he would talk to me and teach me, he was always patient and lienient with me.we never had a crossed word. This last few years he would talk to me of things past. He would say he had no regret's and he'd had a good and full life. He loved to be shifting with his horses and wagon, and was always wanting to be off on the road and just go. He did have trailers but he loved the old ways best. He wasn't one for motors and cars, he would rather walk or take Tilly and a cart.
Hes gone now though into Gods rest, where God promises peace and rest .Thats what he wanted, just to be at peace and it was time for him to rest.
Dont tell me that you understand, Dont tell me that you know
Dont tell me that I will survive, How I will surely grow.
Dont tell me this is just a test, That I am truly blessed
That I am chosen for this task, Apart from all the rest.
Dont come at me with answers, That can only come from me
Dont tell me how my grief will pass, That I will soon be free.
Dont stand in pious judgement, Of the bounds I must untie
Dont tell me how to suffer, And dont tell me how to cry.
My life is filled with selfishness, My pain is all I see
But I need you, I need your love, Unconditonally.
Accept me in my ups and downs, I need someone to share
Just hold my hand and let me cry, And say, 'My friend I care'.
A time for everything.
Ecclesiastes 3
A Time for Everything
1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
9 What does the worker gain from his toil? 10 I have seen the burden God has laid on men. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. 12 I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. 13 That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil—this is the gift of God. 14 I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him.
15 Whatever is has already been,
and what will be has been before;
and God will call the past to account. [a]
16 And I saw something else under the sun:
In the place of judgment—wickedness was there,
in the place of justice—wickedness was there.
17 I thought in my heart,
'God will bring to judgment
both the righteous and the wicked,
for there will be a time for every activity,
a time for every deed.'
18 I also thought, 'As for men, God tests them so that they may see that they are like the animals. 19 Man's fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath [b] ; man has no advantage over the animal. Everything is meaningless. 20 All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return. 21 Who knows if the spirit of man rises upward and if the spirit of the animal [c] goes down into the earth?'
22 So I saw that there is nothing better for a man than to enjoy his work, because that is his lot. For who can bring him to see what will happen after him?
spring is here
Spring is here but you are not,
you have gone,
but not forgot.
The smell of the spring air seems to have the sound of your voice in it, singing as you go...I still see you round every corner, down every road you would have took...Its the time of year again when you'd be making plans of where and when you'd be going.Thinking about having a shift. 'memories eh;'
Your in our prayers
I knew Roman when I worked at Bruntcliffe WMC & I can honestly say he was a true gentleman. Always had time for a chat. In my prayers. RIP Roman
Please don't sing sad songs for me,
Forget your grief and fears,
For I am in a perfect place
Away from pain and tears...
It's far away from hunger
And hurt and want and pride,
I have a place in Heaven
With the Master at my side.
My life on earth was very good,
As earthly life can go,
But Paradise is so much more
Than anyone can know...
My heart is filled with happiness
And sweet rejoicing, too.
To walk with God is perfect peace,
A joy forever new.
He was always there for me,
Through every time
I heard a sound in the night,
Needed reassurance everything was all right.
And every time I ever cried,
I remember the look in his eye
As he would brush away my tears,
Make it all better
And take away my fears.
Then through the years...
He influenced me so,
Taught me right from wrong,
How to live and grow.
Too soon the years of change stood before us
I moved away,
But never would I lose touch.
Of the man who gave me so much.
The one person who never lets me down.
The one who gives love and comfort
If ever I stumble, or when my dreams cannot be found.
He is more to me than I ever deserved.
If only he knew my appreciation beyond these simple words.
Daddy, I love you so.
You are the greatest man I'll ever know.
this is the scripture i read in the church

IN LOVING MEMORY
THERE ARE SO VERY MANY THINGS THAT I SHOULD OF SAID AND DONE,TO SHOW THIS WORLD HOW YOU WERE SUCH A SPECIAL GRANDAD.
NOW THAT YOUR GONE I CAN VERY CLEARLY SEE THAT I OFTEN TOOK YOU FOR GRANTED ALL THE THINGS YOU DID FOR ME.
YOU WERE ALWAYS UNDERSTANDING SO LOVING AND KIND AND HAVE LEFT SO MANY GOOD MEMORIES BEHIND.
I MISS YOU SO VERY MUCH AND THERE WILL NEVER BE A DAY THAT I WONT BE THANKFUL FOR THE CARING LOVING MAN THAT WAS TOOK AWAY.
As the days go by . The time stands out how little life we really have. the preciousness and fragility of each of our breaths. We must let go , we must move on , let go of our pasts and take each precious day as it comes.
Good bye and take rest in the peace of the lord.
We will not forget, and will always remember how much you where apart of our limited lives.
memorise of you.
Down the paths and lanes as I travel through,
seeing memorise of things of you.
Hearing your voice in the lanes and the corners,
looking to see you in shadows and meadows.
Thinking of places and people you'd seen reminding me of places you' ve been.
